             MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1Patient Care   Perform basic pulmonary function testing for patients as requested by physicians.  
 Assess patient's history, medication, procedure request prior to procedure.  
 Explain procedure and orientate patient to the lab setting.  
 Prepare and calibrate equipment required for testing to determine proper functioning.  
 Conduct the basic lung function tests and calculate test results.  
 Respond promptly and appropriately to patient needs / changes in well-being during the test.  
 Exercise professional judgment to ensure patient safety. Escalate concern to senior staff where appropriate.  
 Evaluate test reliability, patient's performance, and clinical implications.  
 Schedule patients' appointment for lung function tests.  
 Conduct diagnostic sleep studies according to established laboratory procedures. (When necessary).
