About the role
The Legal Assistant provides conveyancing administrative support to fee‑earners (Southern based). You will assist with purchase, sale, remortgage, secured lending and related property matters.
Responsibilities
- Open files and conduct conflict checks.
- Perform compliance procedures.
- Prepare sales packs and liaise with managing agents.
- Prepare initial forms and draft contract documents.
- Complete post‑completion processes including Land Registry applications.
- Request property searches and prepare letters to clients, banks, solicitors and other third parties.
- Update spreadsheets and track statutory dates.
- Liaise with clients to provide updates on matter progress.
- Ensure documentation is recorded and updated in electronic files.
