**Job Description**
This position supports research projects aimed at identifying mechanisms of gut-to-brain pathways. The team in Dr. Marito Hayashi’s lab aims to uncover how sensory information arises within the gastrointestinal tract and how such information is conveyed to the brain to impact physiology and behavior in health and disease.
**RESPONSIBILITIES:**
Research Contribution (50%):
- Assist in various experiments taking place in the laboratory, including:
- Optimize and perform in vivo and ex vivo imaging experiments
- Optimize and perform behavioral experiments
- Maintain animal colony
- Rodent tissue dissection
- Collect, analyze, and compile data
- Maintain highly accurate records of procedure and data
Administrative Contribution (30%)
- Assist in various administrative lab operation, including:
- Placing orders
- Organizing reagents and consumables...
