**Job Description**

AV has an opening for a Research Technician within the Health and Performance Technologies Division. This is an on-site position supporting the Directed Energy Bioeffects Division of the 711th Human Performance Wing, located at Joint Base San Antonio. The position will support the biological research projects focused on the bioeffects of laser weapons exposure.

In this role, the successful candidate will perform, analyze and report bioeffects data related to laser exposure and wounding, using advanced cellular models including immortalized and primary cells, tissue organoids, transwell and advanced co-culture systems. Along with a strong background in in vitro laboratory work, the ideal candidate will have excellent organizational, communication, and record-keeping skills.
