The Earth Observatory of Singapore (EOS) is a University Research Institute at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) Singapore that conducts fundamental research on earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, tsunamis, and climate change in and around Southeast Asia, towards safer and more sustainable societies. For more details, please view The EOS at NTU seeks a Research Fellow (RF) to join the 'Integrating Volcano and Earthquake Science and Technology (InVEST) in Southeast Asia' project, a 5-year project that aims to provide a holistic understanding of regional tectonics, volcanoes, the linkages between the two, and their cascading hazards and impacts in Singapore and Southeast Asia. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Asst Prof Lujia FENG and focus on (1) developing postseismic models for recent large earthquakes along the Southeast Asian Ring of Fire, and (2) advancing earthquake-cycle models to investigate long-term deformation along subduction zone megathrusts.
