This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and able health or social researcher with an interest in public health to work within a leading population health sciences department. The post will support Professor Judi Kidger to conduct research for her NIHR-funded Population Health Career Scientist Award. The overall aim of the programme is to take a systems approach to preventing or reducing mental health problems among at-risk young people and supporting more resilient transitions into adulthood. The post-holder will be based within Bristol Medical School’s thriving Centre for Public Health. They will have the opportunity to network with senior, mid and early career colleagues working on a range of public health topics and methodologies, and to attend staff meetings, reading groups and ad hoc seminars and presentations.
