Position Summary/Description:
The Division of Surgical Oncology in the Department of Surgery of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is seeking a full-time Research Assistant Professor. This is a fixed-term academic faculty appointment commensurate with qualifications.

The successful applicant will focus primarily on molecular biology analyses in breast cancer research and serve as director of the cancer research laboratory for Dr. Philip Spanheimer. This position requires expertise in original scholarship, research design, research engineering, implementation of research procedures, data analysis, and interpretation of results, with a substantial emphasis on bioinformatics analysis, from primary data processing through biological interpretation.
