The Centre for Health, Culture, and Society (CHCS) at NTU CoHASS is recruiting a Research Assistant for a grant‑funded study titled “When Care Becomes Difficult: Complaint, Moral Strain, and Narrative Conflict in the Hospital Pharmacy,” led by A/P Graham Matthews. The study explores how pharmacists at Singapore General Hospital handle patient complaints and difficult encounters through semi‑structured interviews and institutional ethnography.
The role involves generating and verifying interview transcripts, performing preliminary qualitative analysis, supporting literature review, and preparing research outputs such as reports, conference papers, and journal articles. The appointment is for three months, renewable for another three months upon satisfactory review.
