Overview

Research and Training Coordinator (Post Level 9) – Tygerberg Campus, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Department of Pathology, Division of Medical Virology. Ref: TGB07/118/0526. The position is supervised by a small complement of senior academic staff and is primarily funded by external grants (NIH, NRF, PRF, NHLS Research Trust, SA‑MRC, etc.). The role coordinates and oversees the research laboratories for cell culture, virus isolation, immunology, antibody testing, molecular virology and sequencing. It also manages equipment, stocks, the Stellenbosch University asset register, regulatory matters, and the biosafety level 3 (BSL3) laboratory.
