Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in Med Surg, Telemetry, PCU, and Stepdown units.
  • Continuously monitor patients' cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and clinical status, responding promptly to changes.
  • Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and other physician-ordered treatments.
  • Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, case managers, and the interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient progress using EPIC EMR.
  • Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.
  • Float within the same specialty across local campuses as needed.
Requirements
  • Active Illinois RN License or Compact License eligible to practice in Illinois.
