Job Summary
Client is seeking an experienced Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN) to provide direct patient care within an Acute Behavioral Health facility. The RN will care for adolescent psychiatric patients and must be comfortable floating between units as needed. This role requires strong assessment, crisis management, and therapeutic communication skills to ensure patient safety and recovery in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assess, plan, and evaluate nursing care for psychiatric and behavioral health patients
Monitor patient conditions, behaviors, and responses to treatment plans
Administer medications and treatments safely using Omnicell medication dispensing systems
Provide crisis intervention and therapeutic communication techniques
Collaborate with healthcare teams including psychiatrists, physicians, therapists, social workers, and interdisciplinary staff
