Summary The GI Clinic Procedure RN is responsible for preparation, education, and care of the Veterans during GI procedures. Overall services provided include a variety of consultative, diagnostic, and screening endoscopic gastroenterology services in a primarily outpatient setting. Most common GI procedures performed include: Colonoscopy, Endoscopy, Endoscopic Ultrasound, ERCP and Flexible Sigmoidoscopy. Responsibilities Major duties include but are not limited too: Maintains competency on endoscope care and cleaning, storage, and maintenance Demonstrates proficiency in documentation using Provation Multi-care and other assigned Electronic Medical Record system Demonstrates competency in specimen collection and handling Assists with inventory and supply management of specialty products and ensure necessary Reusable Medical Equipment (RME) procedures are followed.
