Summary This position is located at Aquatics, Morale, Welfare, and Recreation Department, Naval Air Station, Jacksonville, FL. The purpose of this position is to provide lifeguard duties in a variety of situations and will be responsible for safeguarding the lives of persons at the assigned work area throughout the MWR Department. Tasks may also include a variety of duties in support of MWR such as community events. Responsibilities General (Duties include but are not limited to): 1.Recreation Aide (NF-1) Responsible as a swimming pool lifeguard to perform rescue work, promptly renders CPR or emergency first aid, and calls for medical assistance as necessary. Supervises swimmers for safety and crowd control. Enforces safety and pool regulations. Promptly reports safety hazards to supervisor.
