Position/Department Summary:
Performs routine and complex procedures on a scheduled and emergency basis following departmental QC/Exam Data Integrity Workflow Expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
Examinations and Procedures:

Reviewing and evaluating requisitions for Diagnostic and interventional imaging procedures, abstracting data from patient charts and determining appropriateness of procedure prescribed given diagnosis and clinical signs for routine examinations.

Confirming procedure specific information with physician and necessary imaging equipment, software programs, therapeutic equipment and supplies.

Selecting appropriate equipment and technical factors to optimize image quality and reduce patient radiation exposure.

Complying with aseptic techniques in specimen collection and handling.

Preparing procedure tray, imaging parameters, therapeutic equipment and supplies per physician protocol.
