**Responsibilities**

+ Inspect fabricated components, stair systems, handrails, and custom metal assemblies at multiple stages of production.
+ Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and weld symbols to understand design intent and quality requirements.
+ Verify fit-up, alignment, and dimensional accuracy before and after welding to ensure tight tolerances and proper assembly.
+ Inspect welds for appearance, consistency, and overall quality, with a strong focus on visible and aesthetic welds in addition to structural integrity.
+ Identify defects such as misalignment, poor fit-up, uneven welds, surface imperfections, and other quality issues.
+ Use measuring tools such as tape measures, squares, calipers, and gauges to confirm dimensions and tolerances.
