To operate the Telecommunications Center efficiently and effectively 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. This consists of operating all communications equipment and maintaining contact with all field units and other agencies through direct phone lines. This includes responding to all elevator phone lines and all emergency call-box phone lines that ring directly into the communications center. The Division of Criminal Information Network provides other emergency communications state and nationwide.

Primary Function of Organizational Unit:
To provide an effective and efficient link between the University Community and the University Police Department’s operations and services 24 hours a day, 365 days per year. The University Police Department maintains overall responsibility for this service.
