Registrar / Trainee, Psychiatry, Waikato Hospital and community services. Permanent full‑time. Successful applicants entering the RANZCP training programme will commence in February 2026.

About the Role

Training stages:

• Stage1 (Year1) – predominantly inpatient psychiatric services.
• Stage2 (Years2‑3) – six‑month rotations across key specialty areas such as Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Consultation‑Liaison Psychiatry, Drug and Alcohol Services, Community Psychiatry, Old Age Psychiatry, and Crisis Services.
• Stage3 – advanced training within a chosen subspecialty of psychiatry.

Support includes experienced clinical supervisors, structured supervision, protected psychiatry education on Wednesdays, teaching covering the RANZCP syllabus, structured training in main psychotherapeutic modalities, multidisciplinary team learning and clinical review meetings.
