Summary The Assistant Chief Prosthetic Representative is responsible for administering the policies and programs within Prosthetic and Sensory Aids Services that promote the health, independence and quality of life for Veterans with disabilities. Responsibilities Major Duties: · Serving as an advisor to clinicians with regard to selection, prescription, and acquisition of prosthetic devices involving furnishing information concerning such matters as new developments and sources of supply for such devices. · Assists the Chief Prosthetic Representative with developing local organizational policies and procedures consistent with national policies and procedures, establishing long and short-term program goals, participating in local facility committees and work groups · Responds to a variety of correspondence i.e. congressional inquiries, assists in representing department in public relations activities i.e. lectures, town halls and in-services · Assists in developing tools that allow moni...
