: The Program Specialist II is a position housed in the Florida Department of Education; funded by the federal Charter Schools Program (CSP) grant. The Program Specialist II reports directly to the CSP Grant Director and is responsible for the following:
Initiating the review process of grant applications for new charter schools to ensure all applications meet federal and state statutory requirements.
Tracking ongoing budget reviews of grant recipients and keeping records of the budget amendment approval and denial process.
Providing technical assistance to grant sub-recipients and charter school district contacts, both verbally and written, regarding the grant requirements and allowable expenditures.
Reviewing and approving subgrantees’ required documents and reporting requirements to ensure compliance with grant requirements and restrictions.
