The post holder will work within the Occupational Therapy (OT) teams in WCH to support the continuous professional development, education and progression of OT staff. They will identify learning needs, plan and implement any training required and continuously evaluate staff competence ensuring that development is aligned to and informs local and national priorities. The practice development OT will drive developments in OT practice to improve safe patient care, support education, training and development strategies through the delivery of relevant programmes across the hospital, support induction, preceptorship and guidance for individuals who require performance related assistance. They will also be responsible for supporting changes in practice based on evidence, research, audit findings and best practice, which improve and impact positively on patient outcomes and key performance indicators.
