Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Postdoctoral Associate for Dr. Vikas Nanda’s laboratory at the Center for Advanced Biotechnology and Medicine (CABM), located on the Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences (RBHS) campus in Piscataway, New Jersey.


The primary purpose of the Postdoctoral Associate is to conduct specialized research on a collaborative project on the origin, evolution and construction of proteins that transfer electrons (i.e., oxidoreductases). It is expected that the Postdoctoral Associate will have expertise in several of the following areas including bioinformatics, bioinorganic chemistry, structural biology, microbial genomics, biogeochemistry, molecular evolution, and synthetic organic chemistry that will allow the design of interdisciplinary experiments to test origins of life questions.
