What You Will DoMST-8 is seeking a postdoctoral researcher to conduct in situ SEM mesoscale mechanical testing coupled with high resolution digital image correlation. The candidate will have the opportunity to explore the roles of microstructure, temperature, and impurity on the local plasticity in advanced structural alloys including tempered-martensitic alloys, stainless steels, and uranium alloys. We seek candidates with strong backgrounds in high resolution digital image analysis for metal deformation.
