**Description:**

Oversees and administers Point of Care Testing (POCT) Program for all hospital-based locations. Performs and interprets waived and moderately complex clinical laboratory tests

+ Is responsible for education, supplies and inventory, computer operations, and process workflows related to POC testing in hospital-based departments and clinics.
+ Establishes and maintains a quality improvement program appropriate to the area of responsibility.
+ Maintains compliance with requirements of regulatory and accrediting agencies such as College of American Pathologists, Joint Commission, OSHA, etc.
+ Collects and reviews quality control data and testing personnel competency records either manually or via computer.
+ Ensures completion of proper and timely method correlation studies, proficiency testing and user competencies for each area where POC testing occurs.
