A vacancy has arisen for a Plater/ Welder to join our Engineering team.
The role of Plater/Welder exists to support the manufacturing, construction, and maintenance of metal structures, components, and machinery. This role operates nationally, and the post holder must therefore be flexible with willingness to travel.
The role briefly encompasses the following duties:-
Prepare and cut steel and metal plates using oxyfuel, plasma cutters, and hand toolsClean, strip, degrease, and preheat metals prior to fabricationRead and interpret engineering drawings and technical specificationsMeasure and mark out plate and structural steelwork accuratelyShape, form, and join metal plates and structural steelAssemble components using lifting equipment, tack welding, and fastenersPerform welding tasks ensuring strength and durabilityInspect welds and structures for defects and quality complianceFollow ...
