Role Overview

Plaster Technician (Bank) – Oxford Hospital – Bank – Ad Hoc up to £30.00 per hour, dependent on experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide an expert casting and splinting service.
• Maintain a high standard of patient care and recognise potential complications and health care issues, reporting to the relevant person.
• Recognise legal implications of documentation and complete accurate, legible records.
• Provide wound care appropriate to the patient’s needs and record this in line with department documentation standards.
• Plan and organise straightforward activities, plans and prioritise own workload.
• Adhere to Health & Safety regulations, use appropriate personal protective equipment and advise others as appropriate.
• Take action to assess the management of risk and reduce where possible.
• Report using Trust incident reporting procedures.
