The Placement Coordinator is responsible for the effective coordination and administration of clinical and non-clinical placements for non-medical, pre-registration learners and work experience participants across the organisation. The role ensures learners are appropriately inducted, supported, and able to access the clinical experiences, supervision, and systems required to meet professional and educational standards.
Working independently within clearly defined organisational policies, the post holder acts as a central point of contact for placement coordination, learner systems access, and placement-related information. The role involves close collaboration with clinical teams, Practice Educators, service managers, and education providers to plan placements, maintain capacity, and escalate any concerns that may impact learner experience, supervision, or patient safety.
