This large medical center in Jacksonville/Orange Park, FL is seeking a board certified/board eligible Trauma Surgeon to join our dynamic trauma and acute care surgery team with the only trauma center in Clay County. The Hospital is a Florida Department of Health Level II trauma center and is pursuing Level II verification by the American College of Surgeons. About the position: Fulltime role with 14 shifts per month: 12-hour primary in-house coverage, plus 12-hour back-up (rarely called in) The acute care surgery team has six advanced practice professionals, with 24-hour APP coverage General surgery and emergency medicine residents rotate on the service The program participates in TQIP and TQIP collaboratives 2,000+ trauma patients in 2021 Covers all general surgery call for the hospital Qualified Candidates: Board certified in General Surgery and fellowship trained in Surgical Critical Care Have, or be able to obtain, an unrestricted license to practice in Florida - not subject to any...
