Phlebotomy Team Leader

The role is part of the Phlebotomy service which operates seven days a week across multiple clinical settings, including wards, A&E, paediatric and outpatient clinics at South Walks House and Weymouth Hospital.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Phlebotomy team, providing high quality and compassionate service to patients.
• Supervise and oversee the daily in‑patient and out‑patient phlebotomy service, ensuring quality and continuous improvement in patient experience.
• Maintain accurate training and competency records, conduct regular competency revalidation and manage performance where necessary.
• Participate in staff governance procedures, including recruitment, appraisals and attendance management.
