The Pharmacy Technician is responsible for assisting and supporting the licensed pharmacist in pharmaceutical care by the provision of timely and accurate pharmaceutical services in accordance with professional standards and state and federal guidelines. Non-pharmacist personnel are not assigned duties that, by law, must be performed by a licensed pharmacist.
Requirements:
Registration: Current, valid Pharmacy Technician Registration issued by the California State Board of Pharmacy.
Experience: Previous hospital pharmacy technician experience is preferred.
Basic understanding of pharmacy-related medical terminology.
Possesses basic mathematical skills with demonstrable skills applicable to calculation of percentages and ratios involving pharmaceutical solutions and medications.
Able to effectively read, write and communicate in English.
