Location: Wantagh| Schedule: Per-Diem, up to 19 hours per week| Status: Non-Exempt | Salary Range:$19.83/Hour

The Opportunity


FCA is seeking Per-Diem Residential Counselors for Nassau Haven, an emergency shelter for youth ages 10 to 20 that provides short-term housing, case management and crisis intervention to runaway and homeless youth in Nassau County.


Responsibilities


+ Provide outreach, support and gateway services to youth who are homeless, and runaways or at- risk for trafficking and victimization. Actively engage youth who have not received our help in accepting gateway support and inform them of housing options via shelter and transitional living program to discourage trafficking and other unsafe behaviors.

+ Provide support and continued transition coaching to former residents who require ongoing support as component of after-care.
