JOB DUTIES: The Intensive Care Unit provides services with specially trained nursing staff and support resources for patients requiring critical care on a concentrated and continuous basis. The ICU monitors infectious patients, trauma patients, post-op ICU patients and patients with substance abuse problems and/or conduct disorders of all ages.
The Per Diem Nurse coordinates nursing care for patients, participates in patient and family teaching and provides leadership by working cooperatively with other staff and departments in maintaining standards of nursing care; follows established policies, procedures or specific instructions. This position may be required to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.
