Position Responsibilities:

+ Ensure timely, accurate payroll processing in compliance with government regulations as a Payroll Specialist

+ Manage and oversee the processing of multiple weekly and bi-weekly Canadian payrolls, ensuring full compliance with Collective Bargaining Agreements and contractual obligations

+ Knowledge and an understanding of cross Canada, multi-provincial payroll legislation and taxation.

+ Reconcile and remit 7 Unions Dues to the agencies

+ Prepare Canadian Record of Employment (ROE) to CRA

+ Guarantee the accuracy and timeliness of payroll processing while strictly adhering to all relevant federal and state regulations

+ Assist on interpretation and data entry of garnishments

+ Conduct thorough analysis of payroll issues, recommending and implementing corrective actions to improve efficiency and accuracy as a Payroll Specialist
