Purpose of the job:

Manage the activities of the payroll department to ensure accurate and timely payment of salaries and wages. Ensure compliance with all legal and legislative requirements related to payroll. Process all death, disability, and termination claims.

Key relationships (internal & external):

Internal: HR, Finance, Management, all staff External: SARS, Sage/VIP, RMA, WCA, UIF, Medical Aid SP, Provident Fund(s) SP, ERS, ad hoc contractors/service providers, MIBCO

Critical experience:

10+ years payroll management experience in a medium-sized organization, managing multiple payrolls (monthly and weekly) SARS returns Comprehensive knowledge of MIBCO agreement Proficiency in Sage 300 People Knowledge of ERS Biometrics clocking system Intermediate financial knowledge
