A Patient Services Representative welcomes patients, educates them on copayments and financial obligations, collects payments, schedules appointments, and updates patient information. They promote new technologies, connect patients to financial resources, and foster a culture of service excellence, ensuring a positive UPMC experience for patients and families. This is a public facing, front desk position that offers interactions with our patients and their families.

This position will primarily work Monday through Friday daylight shifts, 8:30a - 5:00p

Responsibilities:

+ Greet patients warmly, guides them through self-arrival technology or check-in, and collects copayments at the point of service.
+ Confirm/update patient information, schedule follow-up appointments, and connect patients to resources for ancillary services.
