Position Overview The Paralegal supports the Health and Human Services (HHS), Office for Civil Rights (OCR) as an integral contributor to the success and performance of OCR and further OCR's mission as described above through various mission support activities. Responsibilities Participates in resolving complaints alleging violations of the various privacy and civil rights laws for compliance with OCR policy and guidelines for case processing. Resolves complaints recommended for administrative, non-investigative closures using prewritten templates and established case resolution guidelines. Consistently and accurately distinguishes between the different technical assistance letters and uses the most appropriate template; follows policy regarding consent from complainants; drafts case notes, closure letters, and other necessary documents with minimal to no typos or grammatical errors.
