Our client in Oxford, MS. is looking to hire a Physician Assistant to join their team. The provider will work 1:1 with a fellow trained total joints specialist. Candidates with orthopedic experience or licensed new graduates are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities:
Full-time permanent position
Monday-Friday schedule
Split between the OR and clinic
Some call and weekend requirements
Conduct thorough patient evaluations and assessments, inpatient rounding
Diagnose conditions through physical examinations, medical imaging, and laboratory tests
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients
Prescribe medications and recommend non-surgical treatments such as physical therapy or rehabilitation
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
Perform injections
Qualifications:
Mississippi State license
Knowledge of orthopedic surgery, treatments and terminology
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
