Job Summary:

Under direct supervision, provides an environmentally clean surgical area in accordance to KP standards and regulatory requirements; assists with the transportation and positioning of patients within specific Operating Room guidelines. Responsible for the storage and movement of supplies and equipment within the surgery department.

Essential Responsibilities:



+ Maintains a clean and safe physical environment for patients and staff.


+ Responsible for between case cleaning, terminal cleaning and assisting with room turnovers.


+ Assists in transporting and/or positioning of patients.


+ Executes proper use, care and handling of equipment and supplies.


+ Transports supplies and specimens to the operating rooms, sterile processing department, laboratory, Pathology, and x-ray departments as required.


+ Maintains appropriate stock levels in assigned areas.
