Primary Purpose Provide school-based occupational therapy services to eligible students in accordance with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). The Occupational Therapist supports students in accessing and participating in their educational program by addressing fine motor, sensory, self-care, and classroom participation needs aligned to IEP goals.
Qualifications Education / Certification
- Master's degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current Texas OT license issued by the Texas Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners
- NBCOT certification (current)
- Eligible for employment in a Texas public school district (background clearance)
Preferred
- School-based OT experience
- Knowledge of IDEA, ARD/IEP process, and special education compliance
- Experience with assistive technology and sensory integration strategies
