Evaluates and develops plan of care according to American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) guidelines.
Administers occupational therapy treatments appropriate to diagnosis and to AOTA guidelines.
Documents and charges for patient care services in accordance with regulatory, licensing, payer and accrediting requirements.
Completes progress notes/recertification to demonstrate the need for continues skilled services as outlined by federal, state, and insurance regulations.
Completes discharge planning according to AOTA guidelines by consulting with physicians, PT, SLP and with the patient/family.
Completes peer to peer review and required forms for obtaining authorization for services.
Meets productivity/KPI targets.
Completion of yearly mandatory education for employment and VA licensure.
Competent Staff:
