Summary The Nursing Assistant (NA) is a position under the discipline of Mental Health Services. The Nursing Assistant meets all of the requirements for the NA up into GS-5 and performs patient care in the patient care setting at the expert level. The Nursing Assistant consistently demonstrates knowledge of patient care, utilize critical thinking skills, clinical competence and knowledge of the practices and procedures which she/he coordinates at the patient bedside.
