Cardiogenic Shock And Percutaneous Ventricular Assist Device Coordinator, App

The Cardiogenic Shock and Percutaneous Ventricular Assist Device (pVAD) Coordinator, APP is an expert and patient advocate in the management of patients requiring advanced heart failure therapies including percutaneous mechanical circulatory support. This position manages a group of clinically complex or resource intensive patients. Prior pVAD experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assessment, management and oversight of care of patients with advanced heart failure and/or cardiogenic shock; many of whom require intensive management including advanced heart failure therapies and mechanical circulatory support.
• Prescription, initiation of, and up-titration of heart failure medications and treatments; many of which require prescription/documentation by an APN or MD, including prescribing, titrating, and close monitoring of oral anticoagulants.
