*Description*
*Summay:* Prepares, measures and administers radiopharmaceuticals for use in diagnostic and therapeutic studies. Performs and assists with nuclear medicine studies. Is responsible for patient safety protocols. Maintains all federal, state, local and regulatory agency requirements.
1. Receives, handles, stores, calibrates, prepares and administers radiopharmaceuticals to patients under the direct supervision of a Radiologist.
2. Follows established medication safety procedures to reduce the potential for medication errors.
3. Demonstrates the ability to organize patient care and set priorities by providing critical care first and by implementing the physician’s order.
4. Reviews consultation request, checking for special instructions from requesting physicians consulting with radiologist as necessary.
5. Obtains patient history and clinical data for correlation with scans.
