Job Summary:

Medical Radiographer-MRI. Read and interpret requests and instructions of physicians concerning MRI examination techniques. Determine body regions and projections which are to be undertaken, greets patients, explains procedures to patients and seeks to reassure anxious and distressed patients; guides and positions patients before and during examinations in order to obtain the required views. Operate MRI equipment by setting controls and making required adjustments using guidelines and standard procedures as directed by physicians, in order to procure the required images. Receive general technical supervision from Senior MRI Technologist including orientation to the facility and equipment, advice on procedures and spot-checks of overall performance to determine effectiveness.
