Location: Middlemore Hospital. Employment: Permanent, Part Time (0.4FTE). Schedule: Monday–Friday.

Role Overview

Lead one of Aotearoa’s busiest and most dynamic maternity services as a Midwife Manager in the Birthing & Assessment unit. Shape service delivery, influence workforce development and improve outcomes for whānau across diverse communities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the daily operations and long‑term strategy for the B&A Unit.
• Provide visible leadership and professional guidance to midwifery staff.
• Drive equity‑focused healthcare outcomes, particularly for Māori whānau.
• Oversee workforce planning, recruitment and capability development.
• Ensure compliance with clinical quality, safety and regulatory standards.
• Manage financial performance including budget planning and resource management.
