Pathologists' Assistant

This is a 13-week contract position.

Day shift, 5x8 hours (08:00 - 16:30), Monday to Friday.

The Pathologists' Assistant is responsible for performing gross examinations and dissections of both large and complex specimens, as well as small biopsies. This role entails preparing tissues for histological processing and conducting specimen fixation, receipt, and labeling.

Responsibilities:

• Perform macroscopically described gross anatomic features of specimens.
• Conduct eviscerations and prepare tissue samples for microscopic examination.
• Obtain and review patient clinical information, including scans and lab results.
• Engage in tumor triage and adult/fetal autopsies.
• Cut and stain frozen sections as needed.
