**Job Summary and Qualifications**

**Position Summary:**

**Performs hematologic, chemical, microscopic, morphologic, immunologic and microbiologic testing in a prompt and reliable manner according to established hospital and departmental policies. Implements new instrumentation. Sets up new methodologies, develops procedural protocols, and trains lab personnel in the use of instrumentation. Participates in QA activities and supports the hospital in meeting JCAHO and CAP accreditation standards. Implements new instrumentation. Assures that CAP guidelines are followed and standards are consistently met.**
