Collect and prepare biological specimens such as blood, urine, and stool for CBC, urinalysis, stool exam, drug tests, hepatitis, and HIV screening tests; label and organize samples to maintain accuracy by performing serological, bacteriological, biochemical, hematological, and microbiological examinations
Analyze biochemical composition and determine the presence of drug chemicals
Interpret, analyze, and summarize test results, identifying abnormalities by determining whether sample parameters fall within normal ranges; report findings in electronic format to physicians and other medical specialists, and collaborate on patient care
Perform quality control on all testing procedures to ensure the validity and accuracy of test results; troubleshoot and repair equipment as needed
