Position OverviewPrepares patients for examination by performing preliminary physical tests (taking blood pressure, weight, and temperature) and reporting patient history summary.Cleans exam rooms and obtains lab specimens.Assists physicians and staff as needed.Selects appropriate equipment prior to collection to streamline process.Verifies specimen orders per department policy.Prepares exam rooms for patient encounters and assists LIP as requested.Maintains appropriate levels of supplies and relevant forms for testing, and maintains statistics as assigned.Performs all clerical duties including patient registration, answering phones, scheduling appointments, initiating, maintaining, and filing medical records, and timely distribution of reports.Performs electrocardiograms and other relevant tests, including point of care testing, following established policies and procedures and universal precautions.Verifies patient information by interviewing patient, recording medical history, an...
