SENIOR MECHANICAL TECHNICIAN

Main Purpose:

This role will ensure the availability of converting equipment to produce the company products, as well as execute preventative maintenance activities to improve the mechanical reliability of all machines. Maintenance activities include compliance with maintenance quality control, compliance with Engineering Codes and Standards, compliance with statutory rules & regulations, maintenance, troubleshooting and diagnostics.

Main Responsibilities:

• Ensure that the 24‑hour operations are achieved by attending to priority equipment repairs and preventative maintenance activities.
• Attend to major breakdown repairs timeously.
• Ensure all maintenance work is executed in a safe and efficient manner.
• Improve on all maintenance activities that are performed by re‑instating industry quality standards of work to significantly reduce rework and abnormal downtime.
