You’ll be instrumental in maintaining and repairing mechanical equipment across production and packaging lines, ensuring equipment reliability, minimal downtime, and compliance with food safety and safety standards. You will be responsible for preventative and breakdown maintenance, fault finding, equipment inspections, supporting changeovers and start-ups, and assisting with installation and commissioning of new machinery. Your expertise in mechanical systems, fault diagnosis, and maintenance practices will be essential in ensuring optimal plant performance and continuous production.
To be considered, you will need a Matric certificate, a recognised Mechanical Trade Test (Fitter, Fitter & Turner, Millwright or equivalent), and N3 Mechanical Engineering or higher, along with 3 - 5 years of post-trade experience in an FMCG or food manufacturing environment.
